USB booting :: USB boot compatability list
Successfully booted with the following:
128MB Peak flash drive
AwardBios - set first boot device as Hard Disk in one menu and in second menu set Hard Disk Boot priority as USB Peak flash drive (top priority).
Also, disabled usb 2.0 support in Bios so reverts back to the old usb 1.0.
Motherboard is Gigabyte GA-K8NE SKT754 Nforce4 PCI-E 8channel.

I have 2 USB sticks here that boot on this mother board. One is an old stick and one is a new Flash drive. This mother board is a MSI K7T Turbo 2

works on a 1 GB Corasair Pen Drive
Boots from my Dell D600 laptop AFTER I enable USB compatibility in the BIOS. If you don't do this on Dells it won't even show up in the boot list.
After hours of trying I succeeded with the following:
Board: Asus A7N8X-X , Bios 1010
Kingston Data Traveller II 256MB
It works now with USB-Zip
The trick was that I had to enable not only USB-Zip, but also USB-Mouse and USB-Keyboard support in the bios ...
