DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: Damn Small Linux Server Edition?

A server edition would be very cool IMO.

Im currently looking at transferring to a HD install so I can add a number of daemons.

I dont agree with going up a CD size. Larger distros are already provided by others. Its the 50MB thing that DSL does oh so well.

You know, DSL is built on Knoppix. If you go grab the re-mastering instructions for Knoppix, one could probably re-master it to just include the server bits and bytes for the CD, and keep it under 50mb. It'd be great if someone did this.

For an example of some re-mastering of knoppix, there's a DistCC livecd that's great for setting up a cluster of compilation nodes.

Any more news on this?  Anyone working on it or know of any alternatives?
im going to start working on this, it would have come in handy recently. Im going to try to squeeze apache on there as i prefer it over everything else.. ill keep you informed of how it comes along.
