Release Candidates :: DSL-2.1 RC2

DId this start with v2.1RCx? Did it work with v2.0?
A difference that I can see between these two versions is indeed with acpi.
Please try booting with acpi=off as a boot option and let us know.
I am aware of some USB issues concerning this parameter.
I also became aware of some networking issue with this parameter.

hey there. in 2.0 my sata drive wasn't supported... do i have a better chance with this candidate?
I am booting with the following.

noacpi noapm nousb nodma noscsi frugal also I am using FB1024x768

the system seems to work well as long as I have the usb option off in the kernel command line.  DSL 2.0 final worked well DSL 2.1 RC1 usb support in kernel still worked only when shifting to DSL 2.1 RC2 that usb fail in kernel.

dancrew32, sata support needs boot option sata
Chuck Allison, nothing from 2.1RC1 to 2.1RC2 that would effect USB booting. Also, have not head other reports of USB issues of this kind. Kernel and modules have not changed either. I am assuming that you have a good download and a good burn to cdrom.
