That's not a good thing to do when shutting down. Remember that Linux is unmounting devices when shutting down. The signal from ctrl-alt-del overrides what the system is doing so your USB stick probably didn't unmount properly. That's probably why it's not loading now. |

Key: dsl-initrd just has all of the data.. i.e. KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX in the minirt so that it's all loaded to ram during boot. Probably memory isn't a problem for you since you have that setup |
