I don't see this. I booted both DSL v3.4.11 and DSL v4.3.1 in Qemu 128M and closed Dillo and checked free command. It shows 4.x uses less (58284) memory than 3.x (65864)
Of course you were talking about remasters, so YMMV.I like the fact that we have /etc/skel, but in this directory there aren't /opt/.backgrounds/default /opt/.mysdl_menu/jwm/make so in order to upgrade I have to do a norestore boot.
