HD Install :: How can I remove ted from my hd install?

How can I remove ted from my hd install?
What about the spreadsheet program that comes with DSL also?
How can I install gnumeric?
I know how to install abiword but I want gnumeric also.
I didn't see it listed using mydsl.

You can look for some remastering scripts (I have the one by mikshaw in mind) for hints that may apply to your hd-install.
Otherwise, you can use `whereas` and `find` etc. to find where they could be located and remove them.  You may also want to remove the icons/menu entries.

Look again

Ok.  I triple checked very carefully.
I went to mydsl extention tool "apps" "uci" and don't see gnumeric listed.
Has anyone installed gnumeric on DSL?
Thx

Gnumeric is available in the gtk2 section. I've used it and it works fine -- just remember you have to install gtk2 (in the same section). FWIW, UCI extensions really aren't designed for hard drive installs.
Thx so much!
I read somewhere (probably this forum) that uci wasn't for hard drive installs.
I'm still learning so thx for being patient.
