Networking :: Connection setup

it says no supported network cards found

can anyone help me on this ?>

Strange try a google search to see if your nic is supported by Linux. 3com has very good support, but you never know. Do you get any messages on boot about your nic?

I'm having similar problems. But mine seem to "work" but then I still can't access the internet... I have just done "ifconfig eth0 [myip]" then tried to use dillo... but nothing.

I don't use DHCP though.

So yah you lost me , is should type ifconfig eth0 then the IP my rovider gave me or the one my router has given me? and i have run knoppix on the box it was painfully slow but it did grab my net card so how can i get that info into DSL
