Title: Calculator issue
Post by: jakvara on June 24, 2016, 04:46:21 AM
Today I noticed that the calculator in Dsl Linux is showing wrong results.
For eg:- for 100/7 it shows 4.28571429 but correct answer is 14.28571428... so it seems to truncate the first digit. Is this issue only on my install or do others have it. how to correct it.
Thanks.

Yes the "fliminicalc" calculator used in the current stable release of DSL can give incorrect results such as that which you mention. The latest release candidate for DSL 4.4.11 uses a different calculator program.

There are some alternative calculator programs in the MyDSL respository.

I have that issue frequently. Force quit the app and open it again and it ought to work.
