Title: keyboard input is messed up on DSL 4.4

here's me typing the lowercase alphabet

as you can see xshell input is a bit messed up
this persists even after exiting the desktop environment HOWEVER the last time I tested it AFTER quitting the environment, the pipe character `|` toggled it reliably, not the case with XShell

and i just realized the site logs my ip and posts it for all the mods to see, yeah fuck you too, i'm turning on my VPN

OH! IT WAS AN ISSUE WITH MY HOST KEY? DSL thought I was holding down Right Alt/Option/whatever.
