Title: Booting DSL iso with grub2 Post by: lnx on January 25, 2013, 08:41:02 AM Som linux distros can be booted directly from the hard drive using grub2. Can this be done with the DSL iso? The BIOS of my PC doesn't have an option for booting from usb flash drive.

I checked it and there are two usb options: usb fdd and usb zip. I'm looking into the DSL wikipages (USB Booting, Installing to a USB Flash Drive).

The BIOS simply boots to the floppy disk, this contains the software that may then load Linux from the USB memory stick.
