Title: Sylpheed to get Hotmail messages

Using Sylpheed to read hotmail messages:

Go to Account preferences.
Full name: jcdq
Mail Address: name@hotmail.com...
Organization: jcdq
_____________
Server information: POP3(normal)
Server for receiving: pop3.live.com
SMTP server: smtp.live.com
UserID: name@hotmail.com
Password: xxxx
Receive TAB....
Don“`t remove messages on server when received!
Default inbox: inbox

On the SEND tab: Header:default values. Under Authentication select SMTP Authentication with authentication method of Automatic. Leave USERID and Password blank and it will default.

COMPOSE tab: default
SSL tab:

POPĀ·3: Use SSL for POP3 connection

For SEND (SMTP): Use SSL for SMTP connection


Advanced tab: default

Apply and click: OK.

On the Sylpheed main screen click GET or GET ALL. You should see the program trying to read your mail from gmail.
