a few years ago Ibilio updated their site and migrated i presume to new servers.  ever since this update the MyDSL program ceased to communicate with the ibilio repository.  this was the largest complaint outside of the wiki getting hacked by spammers.

The only way i saw around it was to tell people to manualy download the packages they wanted and use the MyDSL program to install them or do it via command line.

I dont know what the issue is and i am curious as to what it was and what needed to be fixed and what needs to be fixed or edited on the older editions of DSL and DSL-Not.

I think I answered most of this in the other thread:

What file needs to be edited in the older version to fix the 2 problems which i presume is a mysql and an ibilio link issue.  I am presuming that its a file that needs some editing or a number of files.

Now that the mirror list is updated on the website all one needs to do in the 4.4.10 is to open the control panel, click on select mirror, click on the "Select" button, and choose a new URL.  After that the MyDSL browser should work as intended.
