Installed .dsl files from MyDsl: how to backup them
«

Hi everybody !
When I download and install a "name".dsl file from MyDsl and install it.
Then I do the backup...
But never is the installed file present after the reboot!
Which of the file-directories do I have to write into the "filelist"
so they are in the backup and will be here after rebooting !
Thanks a lot for your helping hand !
regards, karl-dentrix

See this page on the DSL Wiki (http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/mydsl_loading_extensions_at_boot.htm).
If all else fails, you can also manually add the mydsl-load command for each extension to the /opt/bootlocal.sh script, but the automatic function will be easier.
Note that this means the programs are effectively re-installed from the extension packages on each boot. Their settings files should be in directories already in your "filelist", but if one keeps reverting to defaults you might need to find its settings file and add it to the list manually.
