Hi all,

I'm having problems trying to use DSL on an old 1998 Panasonic CF-27 laptop. The main issue is with the display, which when loaded up, seems to load glitched. I am not sure why, but I have tried booting into different settings to no avail.

For reference, the specifications of the laptop are as follows:

- PII 266 MHz MMX CPU
- 96 (approx.) MB RAM
- 4 GB HDD

What different settings have you tried so far?

It looks like a graphics driver problem, so you might be able to get a better display with the graphics in framebuffer mode. This can be done with the command "fb800x600" at the CD boot screen. Details are on the wiki (http://damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/cheat_codes.html#Other_boot_labels).

The "dsl vga=xxx" commands (http://damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/vga_xxx.html) might help if that doesn't, or Xsetup with "dsl xsetup" if that isn't what you've already been doing.
