just a FYI after I wasted a few hours on the mouse issue.  It turns out that the new free ESXi 6.5 web client console connection to a VM running DSL 4.4.10 shows no mouse movement at all. The same VM console connection using client side 'vSphere Client 6.0' works just fine. This with the following xsetup.sh settings: Xvesa=y, USB=n, IMPS=n, ps2=y
