Just tried dsl on dell latitude c600 on live cd. Fantastic!! Just one point – screen does not fit my screen, it's very small, I can alter the resolution to make the size bigger but there's still a 1cm or so gap all the way round. I get the same issue with slitaz & Tinycore. But Puppy & AntiX work fine. I have no idea why.

Hi Jerry,
The difference is probably the use of Xvesa vs. Xorg.  Xvesa is small and will work on a lot of hardware, but it does so be being a generalist and not always a good fit for all hardware.   You could try the extension system on the distro of your choice and upgrade to Xorg.

Thanks John, I'm not sure how to do this but I will no doubt come back to you when you release the next dsl.
In AntiX (debian too) I used something called "Xorg cheats" in the live cd to boot menu which then carried over in the install.
With puppy it just worked straightaway with the correct xorg resolution for my screen.
