Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how to achieve persistence on my DSL, but am running it inside of Windows off of a USB (using the built-in QEMU virtual player, I belive).

It works very well! I'd just like to be able to maintain my browser history/bookmarks, configuration changes, and start bouncing files back and forth between DSL and the flash drive it's on.

Any help would be much appreciated - the methods noted in the Persistence documenation did not work for me, could be user error as I'm fairly new to Linux.

Thanks!

Ah! lol, i should RTFM Smiley

In the readme.txt there is a section that outlines creating a Qemu virtual harddrive on your USB stick. Works like a charm!

The final command listed in the process (starting with cp /KNOPPIX/lib/etc...) generated an error, but everything seems to be working fine nonetheless.

I just booted DSL, saved a few things, backed-up, re-booted the image on my flash drive, and BAM! PERSISTENCE.

Cool Smiley
