I am buying a OLPC XO-1 (Green Machine) with no OS. What do I need to do to install DSL on this beast.

Specs:
433MHz Proc
1GB Flash memory
256MB Ram

You need the system DLS in a media that you can use to boot it, CD disk or pendrive, you can burn the iso image into an CD or you can install the system in an USB drive or pendrive there are several software in the net to set up a pendrive.
