Can't speak for DSL/John, but antiX/MX will support 32-bit as long as they can, if you read the antiX dev subforum. Everyone is still beating on Trixie and testing and trying to shake-out bugs. (Everyone is welcome to beat on their alpha if you want to participate in testing--it's easy enough to find over there but it's early times and only a 64-bit moderately-rough ride so far). If you dig around over there, you'll find that the new 32-bit will ship with a 5.10.X kernel and there are experiments with different installation methods for 32-bit. Custom kernels are no longer happening for antiX (using Deb kernels), but 32-bit 6.1 kernels have been built and tested successfully. I have not yet (and may not) built any 32-bit 6.1.X kernels, but they will be supported to Dec '27 if today's dates don't move. For the moment, I've kept-up vanilla kernel.org kernels built with antiX make oldconfig on 23/bookworm vanilla toolchain. If anyone cares to build their own kernels, anticapitalista's procedure is posted on their forum as well. We have some time yet. Even if none of the upstream commitments for 32-bit existed, 23/Bookworm will live for a while. Among our larger issues are the application-specificity of support for things...it's details. As always, running lean, and running old is more work. That's where we live, here--it's always a heavier lift (but a far nobler existence
