Ok so I installed IceWM thu MyDSL and now whenever I startup my laptop, I get JWM and have to switch to fluxbox(with no computer monitor in the corner).  how can I get it to startup as fluxbox like it was before?

DSL 2.2 with a frugal HD install.

Thanks

Which icewm did you install?  There are a couple of them that overwrite .xinitrc, which breaks things in recent versions of DSL, including the desktop switching.
If you installed one of those, you may need to retrieve a fresh .xinitrc file from /etc/skel/
I made a uci version of icewm not long ago that does not touch your personal configs...feel free to try that one (in "testing" section at the the time of this post).

It was just the icewm-lite from myDSL.  And my /etc/skel is empty.  Where can I find xinitrc?

Ok nevermind, dumbass moment (forgot about the dots) ok so I looked at my .xinitrd files in /home/dsl and in /etc/skel and they're both very different, should I just copy the one from /etc/skel to my /home/dsl directory?

Yes.  The icewm extension overwrote your .xinitrc file with its own (see...i TOLD you guys that was a bad idea, but did you listen?  Nooooooo.  Applications should NEVER overwrite personal config files).
It broke the use of multiple desktops and anything else that is run from .xinitrc.
