Hello all - I am a Linux / DSL newbie. (I do have some past experience as a Unix user and C programmer - never been root, though.)

I am booting DSL live from a CD, and my ps2 mouse is not working properly. Any help or links to resources would be greatly appreciated. (I searched the forums but could not find an answer.) I'll be happy to post any other relevant info if I've left something out. Thanks in advance!

Mouse behavior:
- pointer gets stuck in top right corner of screen
- x and y pointer motion is reversed from mouse axis of motion
- two buttons don't work (also tried cat /dev/psaux)
- mouse will move along top or right axis of screen only
- tried different xsetup options for mouse; no luck there

Hardware:
- Pentium II 300Mhz 128MB
- Phoenix BiOS (was a dell machine)
- Microsoft Mouse - ps2, 2 buttons (no scroll wheel)
(Windows XP recognizes the mouse correctly on this box)
