i tried it but it only detect the hd partition but can't open it..

but using CLI the files can be opened...

can someone tell me how to mount the hard disk correctly..

the automount tool will appear at the right concer of desktop,
use it to mount your ntfs partition,
or you can just open a terminal,
type mount /dev/hdaX(where your ntfs partition is),
it will work.

If you need write support to NTFS, the only way to safely write to an NTFS partition in Linux is to use "Captive NTFS" support.

If this is a must-have, try searching for a Linux Distribution or a LiveCD that comes with "Captive NTFS" already installed.
