I need java 1.4.2 (uci) so that i can symlink it to Firefox 1pre. (it seems to work for henk1955 that way)

We are not able to transfer this file (with a messenger) from his pc to mine due to firewalls/data-limits.

This JRE/UCI file is no longer in the depository so mabye someone can show me an alternative source (ftp?)

It is a later version, so it should be compatible.

If not, and you can't get a symlink to work, let me know.
I still have the 1.4.2_05, but is will now always be superceded
by the 1.5.0 or later..

There are two possible files to symlink to.

Another angle, what version of firefox is crashing ?

Just for grins, the firefox.tar.gz, and the firefox.uci
in the repository are both version 9 , and they DO work
with the jre1.5.0
