If you change your sources.list to 'testing', installing wine from apt is not that simple, as it wants to update e2fsprogs, which requires a temporary supsension of the currently running version. 'Fact, i believe this happens on the first apt-installed package from testing, no matter what it is.
as root:
apt-get install -o apt::force-loopbreak=true wine
might do it. I might have the syntax a little off - could be '-o apt::forceloopbreak=true'. It will ask you to shut down various services before continuing, but done it multiple times from fresh DSL installs and just rebooted afterwards and had no problems.
As far as Cedega goes, ive only been toying with it for a little while and havent gotten it to work with gta:vc yet.. :( Im using a pirated copy though. I intend to try again soon with CVS, so ill post back what happens here.
