Hi,

I finally managed to install DSL on a usb-stick with the zip-usb option.

This creates two partitions sda1 and sda2.
While sda1 is automatically mounted, sda2 is not.

I tried to solve this by editing etc/fstab, but is automatically created and my changes are therefore not permanent.

I installed a mydsl application to sda2 and would like to make it start automatically .... but where do i have to provide the mount information?

Regards

Rigas

When you say you "installed" the mydsl application to sda2, do you mean that you extracted it onto sda2?  This can work in some situations, but it is not an ideal situation.

pr0f3550r: That would only work if the extension is a uci type.  With dsl or tar.gz, the partition is umounted after the extensions are installed.

Add the command "mount /dev/sda2" to /opt/.bootlocal.sh, and make sure you back it up.

Hi Mikshaw,

thanks for the information. The mounting works fine now, but I had not to make a backup before shutting down. My entry in bootlocal.sh was still there after reboot.

Now sda2 is allready mounted, but I still have to go to sda2 (with EmelFM), and click on my nxclient...dsl file.

Only then the applikation is ready and is shown in a MyDSL menu.
Is there a better way to have the application right from the start?

Regards
