I just read in the wiki that you can use the Backup/Restore command to save a backup. But I can't find where the USB-drive is mounted.
Second, is it possible to change to display frequency? I read that you could install xfree86.. I think I know how to download it but how do I configure it?

As you might hear I am a complete beginner on linux/DSL, but I appreciate all help.

First find it using the mount.app tool on the bottom right hand corner in DSL. scroll around until you find something like sdXx.  Mount it, then when you backup/restore, pass the exact same name before (i.e. sdXx).

For XF86, read its .info first, then you can change the display settings in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 manually, or try one xf86config.

Yes I found the mount tool, but no USB there, only found cdrom, floppy, sda1, and harddrives. But since DSL is booted from usb it should be acessible, shouldn't it?
And I don't want to load backups after I booted, but during booting. By the way my usb stick is 1024 mb so space is no problem.

Still not work. I used the backup tool to sda1 and then a started dsl with "dsl restore sda1". Nothing was restored. No themes, no application settings. What am I doing wrong?
