DSL has the "myDSL" system, which allows you to download and install user-created packages from an ever-growing repository.
You can use the myDSL application in the menu to automatically download and install these programs, or you can use a web browser, ftp, or wget to retrieve them from ftp://ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/damnsmall/mydsl/
You could also "enable apt" and use apt-get or dpkg to install debian packages.
