I have a small home network for sharing files, and dial-up for internet. When I boot my DamnSmallLinux machine it finds a local ip address for working on the network. When I try to use dial-up, everything seems to work, but I cannot view any web pages, (browser just hangs). It seems to me that since the computer has already assigned a local address using dhcp, I cannot be assigned a dynamic ip to surf the internet. I have confirmed this by booting with the cheat 'nodhcp", dial-up works fine, but the network doesn't.
Just curious if anyone knows of a solution to this. (Yeah, I should get high speed and "use" the router the right way, but its not available.)
