What kind of adapter are you using? USB, PCMCIA, Mini-pci, PCI What brand? What kind of network? Wired/Wireless? What type of connection router? DHCP, Static IP?
Just saying "It doesn't work" is a VERY broad statement and does nothing to help track down the cause of the problem.
