And I have been running VNC over SSH to Win32 servers for over 5 years.

But now I am moving on.  Most importantly, I am looking at my continually changing work model.  I have used SSH terminal sessions and Webmin solidly for 2 years to a few servers.  Now I have my Libretto pulled out of the dust bin.  I want to be able to use it on the road as a easy-to-carry tool (I can almost fit it into my coat pocket).

But the Libretto only has 64Mb memory (has a 4Gb CF HD, so no memory used for swap).  So I have to look at the memory usage of the remote client, as well as its rendering ability when the client is 800x480 and the server is 1024x768.

I also care about the server side.  With VNC I have to have the server in graphics mode.  A question that I have is with the others, is it enough to have the libraries?  Will I save memory on the servers? (my servers are cheap boxes, and have either 256Mb or 512Mb memory, enough for their tasks while in text mode).

FreeNX uses SSH naturally.  I like that.   Is there the NX client for DSL?
