I got realtek 8139too that dsl does not recognize, even if i run ifconfig eth0 or netcardconfig still comes as unknown, every other linux has recognize this card. any idea on what to do.

i fixed my own problem, any how for anyone who might run into the same problem the solution was to disable plug & play and bang it works.
