I can't find usefull info on how to setup betaftpd.
Set up a `betaftpd.users' file in GLOBAL_ROOT_DIR ???
What is GLOBAL_ROOT_DIR ?
I think I'm gonna cry if I don't figure this out.  Must find help.

beta ftp is actually fairly easy to set up.  Just start it and it should work.  go to a different computer and type in the ipadress into the "host name/address:" box.  If you have set up a web server and have a domain name for the computer then youcan use that instead.  In the "user id:" box, put in your login name for the computer.  In the "password:" box enter your login password for the computer and hit ok.  you should get your home directory.

to start beta ftp just right click on the desktop and go to system -> daemons -> ftpd -> betaftpd start.

if you want beta ftp to start automaticaly when you start your computer type
"/usr/sbin/betaftpd"
to the bootlocal.sh file.  probably located at /opt/bootlocal.sh
save the changes and restart your computer
