i have installed gpsdrive on my laptop

gpsdrive -a (to disable the battery status und power managment does also not work)

i tried at boot apm=off or noapm
but nothing helps gpsdrive crashes and an error message
bat:0 temp:0

i put the HD from the laptop in a pc with the same  dsl system
i booted the PC and gpsdrive works fine

i installed debian on the Laptop an gpsdrive works fine

how can i disable all power managment and battery status on
dsl because i will use gpsdrive on dsl

no does not realy help
it´s an old ibm thnikpad 365E

perghaps it´s an other thing that the program was killed
on startup

how can i get system logfiles about chrashed programs  at startup
gpsdrive -d -D does not tell enough
