Hi,
i am using the microclient jr from norhtec which is the same as ebox 2300 pc. after booting from usb with dsl and doing a frugal install to the cf IDE i coudn't get all the files needed for booting. so i had to manually boot up in text mode from the usb(by using boot option "dsl 2"). then copy the minirt24 and linux24 files manually from the usb to the hda1 partition (CF IDE). and finally i had to reinstall grub bootloader on the IDE. this is how it worked for me.
The key is to install a grub bootloader on the cf ide and store all the files needed to boot. then of course you can write bootoptions into the grubmenu.lst to persist them.
