Compaq Armada 7730MT Pentium 166 MMX, 32 MB Ram, 2 GB hdd-(128MB Swap, Rest for OS)HD install. Rus great, boots DSL about as fast as my 2.8 GHz 1 GB Ram Desktop boots Fedora core 3. Use dillo (cause I like it), firefox loads in about 30-60 sec. Xmms plays audio.......but I can't hear it! (havn't figured out what's wrong yet, alsa says no audio card). Linksys 10/100 PCMCIA card on Road runner. Pages load pretty quick. Vesa graphics 800x600 32bpp mode (probably be faster on a lower setting but I'm willing to sacrifice.
I am also attempting a hdinstall on a couple of old packard bells P200MMX 32MB 1.7 GB hdd, P 233 MMX 32 MB 1.7 hdd. And my favorite one: A Compaq 486DX? with a cyrix Socket 3 100 MHz, 32 MB ram and 1.7 GB hdd. The packards bells are onboard video with original multi ISA (snd\modem) the compaq is a SB16ISA, S3 ISA and has NO PCI slots!! :-P Hey if anyone wants them , I have a coupl pentium 75 MHz Processors to play with....
