Well, when you put it that way... 
To rename the desktop icon, just edit the .lnk file in home/dsl/.xtdesktop (hidden directory, press "H" in emelfm to see it). Renaming the .lnk file itself doesn't do anything, hit "edit" and it, ironically, will open in Beaver, then just change "caption" to whatever other furry aquatic critter you can think of...
