Now that you have a working USBHDD install, you can boot into DSL and then download the 5-way install script from the DSL download site.
Then open an xterminal window and type:
tar -zxvf 5-way.tgz cd 5-way sudo ./5way_install.sh
and then follow the instructions.
You also might be able to do this from MSWindows by simply unzipping the dsl-embedded download with the destination for your "unzipping" being set to your USB drive.
