I've been running a frugal install on a 166Mhz Pentium with 32 M ram.  Been very pleased so far.  Just for grins today I ran off the CD on my 'good' PC (2.5 gHz Pentium with 256M ram).  I booted with DSL toram and the performance knocked my socks off.  Might be something that I need to pursue.  Got to get the wireless card to work, though.  I run the old PC hardwired to the new one, which usually runs XP with internet connection sharing (wireless to the router in the other room).  Having a blast!
