Booting dsl, I get the boot prompts. regardless of what I type here, when I press enter it goes on to the line showing CPU detection: it finds a 199 Mhz Pentium portable chip, then Immediately thereafter the CDROM spins down and nothing further will  happen, even if I let it sit for a half hour. Banging on keys does nothing.

I've tried "dsl expert" (I can't see the prompts, they're off the bottom of the display) and a couple of others, but there's no difference.

Suggestions? (FYI, Ubuntu boots on it without trouble.)
