OK, got that file.
How does one quote from an existing message in this forum?
What do the various modules in the file do? That is, what functionality is missing from the basic DSL 2.0, and which modules does one load (how? surely not a whole lot of insmod commands!) ?

I hope someone will reply.
I am a newbie, and find it difficult to get information on DSL. I read the FAQ, thanks to all. But a full documentation would be helpful. I hope. An e-mail list or a newgroup seems an easier way to ask and answer questions and generally share knowledge?

You can get the modules_cut.tar.gz from the download sites,in the release_candidate directory. I'm also unclear what SaidinUnleashed means by the modules/ directory since anything in the image of the Frugal install is read-only. If you put tar.gz files or any of the mydsl apps in /cdrom then they will get loaded at bootup. The problem with the modules, at least with certain ones, like the madwifi.tar.gz is that it tries to write to a read-only directory in a Frugal install. I don't know how to fix that.
