I am trying to run DSL 3.3 on an HP Brio BA200 with Intel 810 chipset, 256M memory.

DSL boots fine into X, but as soon as I move the mouse the pointer gets stuck in the lower left of the screen. It is barely visible and can be briefly moved slightly into the open, but quickly retreats to its hiding place. This occurs running as either live CD or HD install.

Boot parameters seem to be vga = normal noacpi nodma noscsi nopcmcia ...............

Any ideas?

I apologize for leaving out that bit of info. It is a PS 2. I have tried several mice to make sure the hardware was not the problem.

How about posting the output from

showbootcodes

cat .xserverrc

cat /etc/sysconfig/knoppix | grep -i mouse

Does the torsmo monitor in the upper right hand corner display a high cpu rate?
