Hello.

I have a pb with DSL (the last but it is the same thing for all release)
My cpu is a intel prescott with 1 g of ram.
When dsl boot it found 2 cpu (due at smp) this cause me that my eth0 card does not run.
How i can modify the kernel to remoge smp option ????

Hi.
Thank's a lot.
I put the dsl-2.1RC2 on usb key and boot with it.
Yes it's good for "dsl nosmp" DSL find only one cpu.
But (yes there is a but) I have the same pb with eth card.

Usually I work with an Ubuntu BREEZY and all is ok.
The eth card is on motherboard ans DSL recognize a RTL8139 as Breezy, I have an another card (a wireless card RT2500), but with DSL I can't find the good driver. I have burned a cd with dsl-2.1RC2 . When I boot with the cd on the same pc I have many pb, like "errors on cloop partition etc...". If I boot with the same cd on a laptop toshiba DSL freeze when it create /etc/fstab.
So I have many pb with this distro. I had try miniknoppix and I have the same pb with smp. I'm going to try one more time miniknoppix on usb drive with nosmp option.
So if you have any idea about rt2500, that will be fine.
Ciao.
Mario (yes I am french but my origine is italian)
Grazie mille per tutti.

What does the PCI tab on the System Stats program tell you about your network cards?  IE: Vendor ID , Card ID, Manufacturer, Model number, revision, etc?
