Hi folks,

About "copy and paste" from console to document and from document to console.

I have a 2 button-mouse.

copy - highlight the text
paste - shift-insert

only worked occasionally.

Sometimes previous selected text was pasted.  Is there way to erase the old selected text.  OR is there any other methods.

TIA

When you press both buttons in a 2 button mouse it emulates the 3.rd button.

So to copy: higligth text
and paste: press both buttons of mouse.

Should work. Haven't tested it with DSL, cause I have 3 button mouse.
If it doesn't work, then you have to enable 3-button mouse emulation from somewhere..

I use a two button mouse with copy and paste both buttons at once.
You need to setup a two button mouse using xsetup.

Hi anaconda,

Tks for your advice.  Your advice works on other Linux distro but not on DSL 2.2b

Hi roberts,

Tks for your advice.  I ran both
System --> X Setup

and

xsetup.sh on console

I could not find the item "2 button/3 button mouse" there.  Please advise.  TIA
