... as expected by me. But I may be wrong.

Hi,

so here is my problem :
I launched DSL 2.3 with toram 2 boot options.
I installed gcc.dsl, then compiled SDL the usual way ( ./configure make and make install ). Everything went fine.
Finally, I used the mkmydsl script to create a new iso. But when I try the new iso, gcc is not present neither are the SDL libs.

I know there already is a SDL package available. I mainly did it as a test.
Still, I don't understand why the created iso looks like the original dsl iso. I test my new iso with qemu instead of burning it. Is it an issue ?
Whatever DSL is booted from CDROM or from HD install the result is the same...

Can someone point me out my mistake ? Or is it just a misconception of the mkmydsl purpose ?

mkmydsl is not for installed applications but rather for the usual way of running dsl, that being a collection of uninstalled extensions that are auto loaded at boot time together with your specific boot time options The script simply writes the original DSL image together with your collection of extensions onto the cdrom. You can get very creative my using a custom myconf.tar.gz which can setup your printer, your network, have custom wallpaper, custom desktops. It is only limited by one's own creativitiy. The script is not an auto remaster script. That is the what you must have thought.
One must be familiar with the ways of DSL and extensions. It is rather terse because it was a personal tool. A GUI version is in process.
