Hi,

I have had previous thoughts about running DSL on my old computer but I have now stopped that as there were problems.

However, I have tried running DSL Embedded on my XP computer. I started DSL Embedded for the first time and it went into the colourful DOS thing. However, I had to exit this as someone wanted the computer and so I exited it whilst it was listing the letters in the dos thing you first get when you try DSL for the first time.

So, another day, I tried to go on it again but all it does now is open a DOS file with no words and nothing happens.

I have tried reinstalling, but I wonder if because I exited DSL at the DOS stage if I have ruined my chances of this.

This may be long, but can you help me get DSL up again?

From what you describe, nothing should have been permamently broken but, then gain, we are talking about computers and anything could happen. If you d/l the embedded zip file and extract to a USB drive (or even to a directory on your XP drive) and try running i tagain, it should work okay. In the event it stops again and ther eare any error messages (or any scrolling text), try to get what you can and post it.

Hope this helps,
