Ok. I've tried to use CLI tar extracting but It didn't worked at all.

ubuntu@ubuntu:~/hda10$ tar -zxvf backup.tar.gz opt/bootlacal.sh

gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

It seems that I'll be burning newest stable relase of DSL and start my portable server project from scratch. Hopefully it will be even better what it used to be.

I would try the shareware version of tar repair at: http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Best/tar-file-repair.html

I couldn't find a linux version of a fixer program.
Good luck.

There are a couple of tools for extracting data from damaged zip/tar files on the RIP linux livecd.  Might be worth a try.  You'll need to boot up the livecd and dig through /usr/docs to find the details.

Link to RIP Linux

Hope it helps.
