If you have your gui going you should see a file cabinet icon named emlfm.  When I open mine I see the home directory on the left side and knoppix directories on the right.  Look on the right for the /mnt directory and double click it.  You should see some more directories and you will look for /hda1 or hd?? for your c: drive.  The usb device is usually /sda1 or sd??.  If you see them just do a right click and select mount.
