See this thread for help on how to use DSL to access a MSWindows hard drive partition. Keep in mind that Windows NT/2000/XP partitions, called "NTFS" are READ-ONLY so you will need some kind of alternative storage location to stick your "rescued" files when you copy them from the hard drive. For example, a USB stick, a CD-R disk, a network share drive, a FAT/FAT32 partition, etc.
