If you have a serial mouse you need to boot dsl with the xsetup boot option:

dsl xsetup

Then you will be prompted for where, which com port, your serial mouse is located.

This serial mouse is extremely frustrating.

I already did that (as previously posted) by dropping to the shell via ctrl-alt-bkspc, type xsetup.sh at the prompt, go through motions, then type startx when back at prompt.

Hi greenstar
I know there are several threads dealing with how to configure a serial mouse.
good luck

Like this one.

Really frustrating because I'm pretty sure it can be done.
