This serial mouse is extremely frustrating.

I already did that (as previously posted) by dropping to the shell via ctrl-alt-bkspc, type xsetup.sh at the prompt, go through motions, then type startx when back at prompt.

Really frustrating because I'm pretty sure it can be done.
