I know this has been covered before, but for the life of me I can not find the thread.

How do I automatically start the print daemon at boot, I have DSL installed on my HD. I know it had something to do with editing the bootlocal.sh file.

Thanks,

Add "/etc/init.d/lpd start" (without quotes) to /opt/bootlocal.sh (not quite sure if you need 'start').
Or you can make symbolic links from /etc/rc3.d/S99lpd and /etc/rc5.d/S99lpd to /etc/init.d/lpd.

That didn't work. But just a simple lpd did the trick.
